2000 Parade of Remodeled Homes

Fickel & Son Construction was featured in this addition: The highlight of The 2000 Remodelers Tour is the interior remodel of the main bath. It was dramatically changed by the addition of 2 feet that integrated a new vanity and linen closet, with TV pullout, behind rolling tambour doors. Coved ceilings remained, allowing the original design features to be maintained throughout the home. The cast iron tub was removed and replaced by a "Jacuzzi" tub. New tile flooring and wainscote were added. New hardwood flooring was added in the hallway leading to the bath in order to accomplish a blend of old and new. The outdoor remodel consists of a new gazebo, featuring crown molding with rope lighting for accent. Repair and restoration of the existing fence, and the addition of a storage shed are in keeping with the exterior of the home.
